So I got back to Chicago day before yesterday. That's pretty much the only interesting thing. Tim's still living here, and I've been doing a lot of cleaning. It turns out I have more shoes than is possible based on the laws of physics. I have no idea where they've come from, but they appear to have started spontaneously generating new shoes. Either there is a sinister plot afoot (Get it? Because they're shoes!) or they have merely developed life and are now reproducing to no end other than clogging up my bedroom, which I find to be sinister, but I respect that other people might not. Also, though I doubt that many people read this and even if they do they probably don't call me, and even if they'd want to they don't know my cell phone number, but in case anyone was wondering, I'm trying to keep my cell phone on more in case people want to, you know, talk to me. I have NO idea why anyone would want to do that, but I suppose it's beside the point. This may well change once classes start again, but I'm trying.
There are two pieces of Other News for now. The first is that my brother is now at his orientation at Hamilton College. I don't even want to talk about what his being in college is doing to me. I'm very excited and worried and what have you. I think I might have empty nest syndrome. How sad is that? I need a puppy. The other piece of news is that Robert, Tim and I are all pretty sweet, because we are going to have a drinking/Star Trek movie marathon (the original six) from six pm Saturday evening until six am Sunday morning (it's a bit less than eleven and a half hours, so there's some leeway for, you know, switching movies and passing out for minutes at a time and pouring new drinks), and then we're going to Valois' for breakfast so we can see our food. Then we're all going to fall over. It will be super-awesome. I partially feel the need to do this because I need to prove to myself that I am will to stay awake all night for the sake of awesomeness and not merely for school, because that would depress me. Curse you, academia! You have forced me to violate the principles of things that are cool.
I think that's pretty much all for now. As always, I'm probably going to try to update this more frequently, too, but I wouldn't bet on it. Word.
Ten-four, good buddy, over and out.
