Sam thinks Jo is the most beautiful when she’s sleeping. It always seems like there’s a restless quality about her at every other time. It’s like she keeps moving because she always feels like she has something to prove. And he can’t help but be kind of annoyed that Dean doesn’t do much to make her feel otherwise.
But when he looks at her now, lit up by the streetlight outside of the motel room window, sleeping in the bed next to him, and he feels like he’s seeing her as she really is for the first time.
Still. Unguarded. And beautiful.
