1. Me too! I never would have thought of it without your question, but now I think this is a necessary toy. literaryll and I discussed making it our big project next year, but I don't know how feasible that actually is.

3. Yeah, I think it does date back to Jim Lee's design. It's just that it had been retired during Gail's Birds of Prey and other artists respected that (such as Phillip Tan in Final Crisis: Revelations. Tony Daniel just brought back something that was better left in the past. In good news, here's Cully Hamner's take. They do need them to stop bullets!
