I have missed all of Smallville so far. My computer has not had sound. :( I'm planning a spree in the morning, then I'll be off to read what everyone had to say about it. *crosses fingers*

My username is isilweth because of the Cat Stevens song, "Moonshadow"; My mom sang the song to me frequently as a child and it's one of my favorites. "isilweth" is Tolkien Elvish for 'moonshadow', the word not a name. It's in Elvish because "moonshadow" is so popular as a username and I wanted something other people wouldn't have, so I looked up the translation in The Silmarillion Appendix.
2. My 'name' in my basic info is _____ because ____.
My 'name' in my basic info is 'they were his colors' because it's indicative of Tim Drake, my journal avatar. At Kon's memorial in 52, Tim gives this response to Jimmy Olsen's question about his change in uniform. I find Tim's homage to Kon moving. It used to be my journal title, but I recently changed that because I didn't want it to be shipper specific. I just couldn't give up the quote, though. Hence, it's now my 'name'.

My journal is titled "to find the truth, I've even lied", a quote from the lyrics of "Superheroes" in Rocky Horror Picture Show because it's indicative of Tim Drake, my journal avatar. He's a detective and searching for truths, yet to honor the mission he lies frequently and even to those he loves. I don't actually lie in my journal, but I'm not searching for truth here. ;P
4. My subtitle is ____ because ____.
My subtitle is "leaping off rooftops and out of shadows" because it is also indicative of Tim Drake, my journal avatar. Also, it's a progression from my newly de-lurked subtitle, "stepping away from the refreshments to mingle". I feel (slightly) more confident as a member of fandom and more as though I am a part of the party instead of just arriving.

My friends page is called "Titans Together!" because it's indicative of Tim Drake, my journal avatar. (Sensing a pattern?) "Titans Together!" is the unifying cry of Tim's superhero team, the Teen Titans (as well as the older version of the team, now simply called the Titans). It's about diverse individuals coming together with a unified voice.

My moodtheme is
because I love baseball and the theme is discreet and creative. She used some interesting and not obvious images to represent the different moods - I like that it's mostly inanimate objects.

because I am voting for Barack Obama. I don't generally post about politics, but it is meant to be a quiet show of support. I like the juxtaposition with the Superman symbol (which means 'hope') and the "Man of Tomorrow" implication in the icon. Plus, it's bright and colorful and fits my comics theme.

Dang! My icons are a smorgasboard of brooding, angst, and melancholy! I counted at least 12 'sad' icons. Could've been more if I interpreted some others a slightly different way. This one wins, though, for most depressing:
From When Clark Met Bruce, a seven-panel story from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale in Superman/Batman of the first almost!meeting between Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne. The meta in those seven panels is beautiful in its simplicity. Clark, playing baseball in the open field and bright sunlight with his friend Pete. Bruce alone in the dark enclosed back of the broken down Wayne Rolls Royce. *sniffles* Thankfully, theclexfactor has made it all better in her wonderful pre-slash "kiddie" fic, blaknbluseries.

WHEEE!!!!!!!!!! colleencoover's X-Men: First Class story, " Warren Worthington III: Poor Little Rich Mutant". Warren feels such freedom in flight and his happiness here is palpable. I love Colleen's art!

Michael Holt (Mr. Terrific) and Pieter Cross (Dr. Mid-Nite) from Justice Society of America. This icon was made from the awesome portrait in the JSA Annual. Where is all the Pieter/Michael fic?!?! starsandsea is holding down the fort alone. There is rampant subtext through numerous volumes of JSA, and a Checkmate tpb. They are brilliant, hot, and badass. They need more lovin'.

Um, über-geek. Loves comic-book superheroes. Both het and slash-friendly. Baseball fan. Likes faces, silhouettes and profiles, and parent|child relationships. You can probably tell most of my favorite characters or what I like most about some particular characters. My current default definitely makes a statement - American voting liberal.
