This was my first comics convention and I loved it. I'm definitely going again next year. It was a thrill to meet a few of the folks who bring us comics and even have short (or not so short) conversations with a couple of them. Very humanizing

So glad that you've had such a great time, and it's really cool to know about all those stuff you've mentioned. The crowd silence when you mentioned Blue Beetle was funny! And that's quite an account about the editorial decisions, sometimes you just don't know who to blame for some on the things in the comics. It's pretty much like with Smallville IMO, lol. The showrunners or the writers themselves?
That Gargoyles print is just too cute! I love it.
And that's just awesome about what Busiek has mentioned about Clark/Lois, but I find it somewhat amusing that he doesn't have much faith in Bruce lol. Personally, I'd like to think if he ever gonna get married himself *snort* I don't think his wife would have any reason to doubt his faithfulness to her either.

Yes, it was quite clear Blue Beetle does not have the audience it deserves.
I found my conversation with Willingham fascinating because each writers run is different enough that it reads differently from other's, but editorial is responsible for overall consistency. Willingham was handed some book-altering character assassinations and his name has been villified because of it. Does anyone even remember who edited the book at the time? I don't.
Yeah, Smallville, too. There has to be some consistency because of the overarching themes of the series, but episode to episode sometimes makes it seem like the characters have multiple personality. Then there's the network influence ( ... )

Babs!Batgirl and Tim!Robin are awesome together, they're just too cute for words. Reminds me a lot of of the Gotham Adventures comics.
I'd really like Bruce to be able to achieve a balance of the mission AND being husband at the same time, but I think that's just too much to ask at this point. We'll give him another twenty years. :p Though in TAS, he definitely was all ready to give up his plans to become Batman because of Andi. And during that brief marriage to Talia, it was pretty clear to me that he held her as his very first priority.

!?!?!?! Was that in TAS? I'm not very fluent in the DCAU (casual fan at best), but if that happened, I have to check it out...

Ah, I see. I still have to read that. My understanding is that it was originally out-of-continuity, but Grant Morrison's Damian introduction revamped it...*scratches head and searches for Rip Hunter*
