The Isles of Demons
What They Say: Twin islands near Newfoundland, now lost, that were believed to be gateways to Hell. The scent is of wet, dark greenery, carnivorous flowers, volcanic gas, and the hot black musk of the demons and wild beasts that populated the islands.
In The Bottle: Very sweet and very sharp. I can't pick out individual smells, but it is very floral.
On My Skin: It smells like flowers and soil, and it makes me think of that heavy, green smell that you get in a greenhouse. It's very sweet, but very dark at the same time, and there's a lovely sharpness to it that keeps it from being too heavy.
Verdict: This is everyone's favorite so far (I've been making my co-workers smell my perfume) and I really like that the sweetness has an earthy anchor to keep it from being too much.
