A Sad First
Today I received a complaint about my story, about how my Dain is OOC to the point of being unrecognizable. I knew that not everyone would like my story, and that eventually I would get a negative review, but keeping the characters in character is a point of pride for me. I feel lost now. Like the entire foundation of my story is built on a lie. What's the point on even going on? I thought that his reactions were plausible given the circumstances, but I really don't know enough about Dain to make that argument. I have enough trouble keeping up my confidence in my writing ability when all I get are good reviews. *sigh* I don't know what to do. Maybe I should take a break and work on something else. :(
