Went and saw Sum 41 play at Brixton Academy last night. Omigosh, it was brilliant. There was a small fiasco when Morgan forgot her ticket and sort of had to go all the way back to North London to get it, but still only missed the first supporting act. Who were called Tears of Fury or Pain of Anger or Blood of Angst, or something like that. Their one redeeming quality was that the lead singer was wearing a bowler hat. And that was it. The second band were much the same, although the singer did have a fairly witty banter between songs. I'm torn between annoyance at the fact that they were not good at all and a sort of pity, because how hard must it be to come on stage and sing all this stuff and see that no one is dancing?
But Sum 41 were fantastic. They came on to the Carmina Burana, which was wonderfully pretentious. And they played all the old-school classics and the hardcore stuff from their recent albums... And it was great. Jeez, violent moshers. There was this whole circle of guys jumping on top of each other, and they'd crash into you and you'd just shove them right back. I love how you don't have to be able to dance, or even look good. Great atmosphere - all these guys beating each other up, but the second anyone fell over they'd stop, pick them up off the floor, give them their shoes back... It was amazing.
People I want to see live:
The Killers
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Muse
Then we all crashed at Amy's house and watched the first two episodes of this series of Skins. I don't really watch Skins myself, but everyone in my school seems to be obsessed with it. Well, mainly with
Maxxie who is so beautiful. But I enjoyed it and I think I like it. It's well made but their lives scare me. My mum can't watch it because it makes her anxious that I'm going out to raves and getting high. HAHAHA yeah.
I like when you stay up late with a bunch of friends and you get to this point between two and three in the morning when you start thinking in a deeper way and it's kind of like your mind expands and you start talking about stuff in a way you wouldn't normally.
Babysitting until ten tonight, so I'm going to have two days to get all my work done... SO much to do, and this coming half term is a really long one that I am NOT looking forward to.
I have decided that I really want to be able to dance. Yeah, I've been watching too many Michael Jackson videos... But I have managed to get obsessed with this song by Chris Brown. I'm really not normally into that kind of music but... just look at how he dances and spins around. And has a colour-changing shirt. Wowza.

Aaaand finally, my opinion on the recent
Twilight film promo photos that have surfaced:
Okay, first things first. They're all wearing puffer jackets... why? Okay, Emmett is definitely not how I imagined him, but it definitely good, he looks so cool! Rosalie, while the actress playing her is very pretty, she's just not really pretty enough. I mean, Rosalie is supposed to be inhumanly beautiful right, flawless? Esme... I don't like, to be frank. No no no. I never liked Rob Pattison as a choice for Edward, but he does look a little better than expected here. It still ought to be Gaspard Ulliel. Carlisle is fantastic, Alice is cool and Jasper... homigosh... PRETTY! Why are there only pictures of him where he's blurry?! He was one of my favourite characters in the books, so I'm so glad they got him right. And he's called Jackson Rathbone, which is just the coolest name ever.
