Lethargy & apathy

My nan's here in the house now, and we've decorated the tree as per usual. It's about three feet tall and we have a fuckload of inherited decorations, so it's a little... overcrowded. And the cats have never seen Christmas before, so they keep trying to eat the tinsel. Well, the brave one does. The not-so-brave one thinks the tree is trying to kill him.

But yeah, anyway. I haven't actually done anything at all since the end of term. It's kind of foul being in the house and not doing anything. I've read a lot though. I finished my reread of The Northern Lights and now I'm reading this book called The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. It's about this girl investigating her father's past and it's got stuff about Dracula and Vlad the Impaler in it. I must admit that I am jumping on the bandwagon a little by reading it, and it's not a bad book, it's just... It's one of those books which really unsubtle cliffhangers which means that the suspense isn't suspenseful, it's just annoying.

There's so much fog outside I can't actually see to the other side of the square I live on. Apparently the traffic's really screwed up so all the people rushing to do last minute shopping aren't getting anywhere fast.

I'm going to have to do something productive soon or I'll start contemplating actually doing my maths coursework.

Oh, and I've managed to get really addicted to Patrick Wolf music over the last day and a half. Pretty!
