In RE today, Mr. Swinton told us to talk with our partner for two minutes on anything we wanted and then to tell each other what the other had said.It was supposed to improve your listening skills or something. Anyway, I was paired with Joanie and we sat there for four agonising minutes trying, and failing, to make small-talk. It was mostly things like, "What's the point of this exercise?" "There isn't one," or "Bet you can guess what Lucia's talking to Sian about," "Yeah..."
In Music we are now studying jazz and we were asked to write a verse to blues song. At that point everyone seemed to get a brain block. My verse was cheese city! It was something random about how I love to sing and it's a wonderful thing. Hopefully it will never be marked.
In lunch we were sitting there, minding our own business when we were approached by two year nines who I vaguely knew and we were asked if the XXXHolic we were reading was 'mangwang'. Whatever.
Miss LW has an aversion to Great Choir. We are but distant memories, cancelled out by the blinding glare of the talent of Chamber Choir. She had to shunt us to the back for the finale rehearsal so that our hideous failure would be disguised and hidden from the general public. I also think she may have super-sonic hearing as she kept turning around and telling us to shut up when no one was actually making a noise. But, she now knows Amy's name, which she had been struggling over for the past two years. This surely shows the dawning of a new era, one where teachers actually remember Amy's name!
