Dear Yuletide Santa, Goat, Sucker, and/or Awesome Person,
I adore Yuletide and I look forward to it all year. Thank you so much for writing for me and I can't wait to read my gift! I'm fairly easy going as I'm happy just to receive something.
However, if you would like more detail I will try to give you a better sense of me and what kids of optional guidelines you may or may not want to follow. Again, I am just happy to receive a story.
THINGS I LIKE
I am a happy ending sucker and I like things tidied up. What I mean by the latter is that if you leave me dangling I'll want a sequel :) I can't stand not knowing how things turn out. Like when they cancel your favorite show mid series. I like slash because strong angsty characters are fun. I adore strong characterizations and emotional stuff. Wittiness, quick dialogue. I love romance, I love fun, I love silliness. Hurt/comfort, lots of angst (but resolved).
I am a big sci-fi fan but not so much on the fantasy dragon/vampire/swords sort of thing. Regular people living in extraordinary times/Extraordinary people living like regular folk and having to pay the bills.
Things I'm not a fan of:
BDSM, non-consensual, underage, incest, major character death (unless they're resuscitated ), downer endings, unresolved endings, vague/esoteric sorts of stories.
Movies I like: Terminator anything, Riddick, Star Wars, Star Trek, Pride and Prejudice, action car chase movies, What's Your Number, Dark Knight/Iron Man/Avengers...hopefully you get the idea
Books I like: World War Z, The Passage, Vorkosigan series (Bujold), Honor Harrington series (Weber), romance (Balogh, Devereaux, Amanda Quick, Garwood), David Baldacci, Koontz,
TV I like: Walking Dead (needs some work), Fringe, Hawaii Five-0, Firefly, West Wing, Project Runway, Sherlock, Elementary, The Middle, Modern Family, Grey's Anatomy...
So hopefully you have some sense of me and my wacky all over the place interests. And yes, my conversation is just as all over the place. Like this letter.
For more specifics please see below:
Marvel Avengers Movies RPF
Chris Evans
Robert Downey Jr.
Jeremy Renner
*** Chris Evans...Chris Evans...oh, and Chris Evans. All other folks are bonus.***
This was the only way to get my Avenger fix. I love all of them as actors and what little bits glimpsed or read in interviews makes them sound like they'd be a lot of fun. While I personally couldn't write (I've tried - I can't seem to write real people) a slashy sort of story with these folks filled with angst and humor I certainly love to read them.
Sunshine (2007)
Mace (Sunshine)
Robert Capa
*** Because there can never be enough about the two of them! While the movie is a downer if this story somehow manages not to be that would be great. Slash is great and I don't know why but I find the two characters fascinating.***
And as unrealistic as this is I would totally love an AU where they both get to live. Not the oh they live in some alternate dimension they fell into through a wormhole but somehow they dropped the payload properly and the trip was successful and they went home. And landed on earth and were hailed as heroes. And...well, all I mean is it would be nice if they got to live. And they were crazy in love with each other after lots of angst. Because, well, they're just so pretty. :)
Tron - All Media Types
Edward Dillinger Jr.
Sam Flynn
*** More of the two of them. A love/hate relationship of competition while growing up because of their fathers, or something present day or post movie... Slash if possible. They seem like two people who would hate, love, despise, respect each other. No downer endings please. ***
Whenever I manage to catch the part of the movie with Jr. at the table overriding Sam's hacking it seems to me like it's another step in their competitive relationship. Courtship? It felt like the reason he was so calm was because it wasn't the first time. And while I realize there is a snippet out there implying that Jr. is still snooping for his dad it would be interesting if he were truly conflicted. He also hasn't had a father around and so his motivations may be different than his father intended.

In the end...it's whatever you want to write. I don't want you agonizing over trying to fit my optional comments if it's not something that sparks a story in you. Thank you thank you thank you in advance for my story. I can't wait!!!
