so, as ususal, i'm starting with Adam news. He's amazing, and he not only made me feel better about having very little time to prepare for a concert (not that big a deal, how long did ihave to prepare for Whitacre? not too much, but i did have less music to learn for that than i do for PS), but, i found out that he likes musicals. Which is awesome, because i'm a huge muscial dork, and it's nice to find a good guy whith good taste in musicals, who is willing to have our first offical date be an Andrew Lloyd Webber day, with Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat...i'm so lucky, lol...there's a quote from the webcoming Questionable Content that really fits right now "I have a boy! Having a boy is pretty excellent"
so, Psoulstice...i loved it, but i'm kinda stressed...we have a performance on the 28th (it's called PS because it's Psoulstice and Psoular Power)...and i just got my music yesterday...and i have to miss next Tuesday's rehersal because of Camp Buckeye...however, we did add in rehersals tomorrow, and the following two Thursdays to try to prepare, since we only got through four songs at rehersal yesterday, and we didn't do too well on three of them, lol...it's not that bad of music, but it's not incredibly easy, either...mostly four part harmonies, but we only have two or three altos (counting me), which makes it more difficult, when our notes are very close to those of the tenors, which there are several of, including two Taylors (the Taylor family all have strong voices)...oh, and another good thing about Psoulstice: free food every Tuesday...we have rehersal then someone from the church makes dinner for us (the poor college students/recent college graduates)...last night we got fajitas and cheescake with cherry pie filling on top (mmm, cherry cheesecake)
speaking of cheesecake, my mom brought home the most awesome cake from Coldstone, that was a mistake...it's red velvet cake, with cheesecake icecream, raspberry in the middle, and extra frosting (because the cake decorator knows i LOVE both cheesecake and frosting, lol)...we had it for dessert, after the dinner that my dad and i made successfully...it was lasagna...i made the sauce and cooked the noodles, he did the layering
I know i don't move in at OSU for another week and a half, but i'm already getting started packing, since i'm so busy between now and then, between Psoustice, doctors appointments, Shoutfest on Saturday (my friend's mom got me two free tickets), and Camp Buckeye next week...so i'm working on laundry, so i don't have to do it again when i pack. i'm getting pretty excited, even if i have a while left. it's gonna be great, i'm sure
so, there's this webcomic that i'm absolutely in love with...it's called Questionable Content, and i mentioned it earlier...it's where the "i have a boy" quote comes from, as well as the title of this post...if you read it (
www.questionablecontent.net) i advise you to start from the beginning, because unlike xkcd and Cyanide and Happiness, it's a running series, not just fairly random comics...it's great, and you should check it out, lol...and if you do start from the beginning, the art gets a LOT better partway through (somewhere in the 300s or 400s)
i'm going to bed now, expect another entry sometime in the near future (probably friday or saturdsy, depending on if anything happens before Shoutfest)
