So, I've been tracking my food intake and exercise as I've been working on losing the potbelly. And, you know what, I really love meat.
I mean, I really love meat. Protein in general, but meat in specific. You just can't get better than meat: chicken, pork, fish, ham, crustaceans, beef, shellfish, eggs, squiddies/octopi, turkey...
I'm at or under my daily allowances for fat, cholesterol, sodium, carbs, and sugars... and at 226% of my daily intake for protein.
It's not like I'm following the Atkins diet (hell no, carbs and sugars are important... not to mention tasty!), I just love meat. And cheese. And meat. And milk. And meat. And yogurt. And meat.
Tonight's meat selection was Japanese apple curry with honeycrisp apples, sweet potatoes, red onions, green beans, fresh rosemary, pork and chopped up breakfast ham, all on Japanese udon noodles. I will be freezing 90% of it in preparation for colder weather.
