A question of validity: curling, as a sport

margolia has just spent the past ten minutes (earnestly!) attempting to convince me that curling, if all things, is a valid sport (and not the sporting-equivalent of mumus). She also, I am hoping insincerely, tried to argue that curling deserves to be an Olympic sport.
