chrissy and i work really well together! we tackled a 50+ group of air force dudes tonight. and by tackle, i mean that we were able to handle it cleanly and nicely. but cy pissed me off.
he thinks we should have to tip the bartenders out.
here was my argument:
-they don't do sidework, we, servers, fold all the boxes, roll the silverware, and do other things that the bartenders take for granted
-we are usually not as busy as them, and most of the servers buss the bar tables and run their food to their tables, also.
-and as i recall, when i was a hostess (making $7 an hour, a total of $35-40 each shift before taxes) i bussed every goddamn table in that restaurant at least once each night during the summer. meanwhile, the bartenders were walking out with 200+ dollars each night. how much of that did i see? none. in fact, i think i got tipped out a total of 5 or 6 times this last summer, and it was always by the same 2 servers.
i never expected to be tipped out. i bussed tables out of boredom and to help the servers turn them more quickly, so i don't want to hear it, cy.
