ZAMBIES
So I ended up downloading the Left 4 Dead demo, code courtesy of the fantastic Mr.Loco. I usually miss out playing the latest games with everyone, so it was fucking fantastic getting a chance to be involved and have fun, I've just got to hope I can buy it upon release so I can play it before they all get bored of it.
As you can guess, I'm already a bit tired of playing it due to it being nothing more than a demo but that's expecting, and don't get me wrong running around and slaughtering the fuck out of hordes of zombies is a brilliant way to let off steam (much better than GTA ever did for me) but I just feel like something is really missing.
Take note I haven't been following L4D details, so I have no idea what to expect from the full game so I'm just going to judge from the demo for now. One thing I hope for is just longer levels and less linear maps; It may just be because I was playing with people who had played through the demo for 12 hours straight so I found myself just following them right through the game quickly, but even upon exploring boredly I found there was little explore and it was hard to get lost. The game's difficulty focuses on just simply having to not die when you're surrounded by about a million zambies after some fucking boomer threw up on you but I'd just enjoy having to really think sometimes. Although I have to remember this game doesn't even have a story to it so far so I'm guessing it's just a "shut up and fucking play it" kind of game, which is sound by me, just could have been so much more better.
I dunno, I have no real problems with the game, it's fucking awesome and I just can't wait to play it properly. I just find parts of it get a bit repetitive right now, and I understand it's just a demo but I have a bad feeling that all the game will be similar. We'll wait and see.
