Uh...update

I figured I should update and let people know I'm still alive. I could probably write a lot of stuff, but honestly, right now I'm too scattered to be able to collect my thoughts and word them coherently. I'm still working odd hours at the answering service and staying with my grandmother while my mother is at work whenever I can, so my schedule is erratic, to say the least. And while I've never been someone who needed (or even wanted) to keep a set schedule, what passes for a "schedule" now is nearly killing me, since my body never knows when it's supposed to sleep or eat.

And we're moving to a new office space at the end of the month, which will be good because we'll no longer have to fight for parking and we won't have to worry about drunk college students stumbling out of the bars and puking on our vehicles, or worse, damaging our vehicles. They've already started moving some of our stuff over, but for some reason Michelle decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and move our mini-fridge and microwave to the new space. So for ten days, we have no place to store cold drinks or food, and no way to heat up any food we bring from home. Keep in mind that we also occasionally work twelve-hour shifts, and I often work from 8pm to 8am. That's a long fucking stretch of time to have no fridge or microwave. I do have a little teeny cooler that will hold a few drinks, but that doesn't help the food situation. So my supper tonight consisted of crackers and those cracker-sliced cheese squares, since the cheese could fit into the cooler and wasn't something that needed warming. So now I feel kinda queasy from lack of nutrition.

It's almost 4 in the morning and I just got a call from a woman at one of the apartment complexes we answer for. Her burning question?

"If the police or ambulance needed to get on the property, how would they get in the gate?"

She didn't need the police or an ambulance. She just wanted to know, at almost 4 in the morning, how they'd get in if she did need them.
