Is someone hurt? I can go get Raine or Doctor McCoy if you need help...

No one's hurt. Is Miss Raine a doctor?

[Because McCoy's title explains itself well enough.]

She's not exactly a doctor, but she's good with healing magic. Will that work?

That depends on the severity of injuries that she can treat. Could you elaborate?

I know she can heal some pretty bad injuries... she's helped me out a bunch of times before. I think she can even fix broken bones, too. But I'm not really the one you should be asking about this-- if you want to know more, it might be a good idea to ask her yourself.

[He underlines "bad injuries" in Emil's reply and writes:] How bad?

Well, she helped heal my wing after it was injured when I was kidnapped by the Malnosso once.

With magic? Or Spirits?

I think it was with both, but I'm not sure. Are you interested in learning about the Spirits? I've made a pact with Nala, so I could tell you a little bit about that if you want.

[A line appears- but not the slanted line used to write a Y, but more of for an N. It stops, though, and there's a significant pause before the rest of the reply appears.]

Possibly. Is it very difficult?

Not really, if the Spirits like you. Nala is the easiest to talk to-- she likes everyone and wants to help teach people. You can learn to heal in just a few days if you work really hard at it.

[Okay, so he has the added bonus of being a summon spirit himself, but shhhh.]

[Tap. Circling the "Spirits like you" part this time and writing on top of it--]

How do you know if they like you?

It's kind of hard to explain, but it's like a feeling you get from them. If they like you, it feels nice when you talk to them.

[It's hard to relate when you don't really have that many people that make you feel nice and welcome back home...]

Like talking to a friend?

Yeah, just like that. You'll know whether or not they like you if they agree to teach you. They won't show you anything if they don't.

I'll make a note of it.
