No subject, really

So we're moving into the house this weekend. Woot woot.

 My walls are this color.

And my bed is this color.

I get my dog back after we're all settled. My mom has been kind enough to babysit her "furry-faced grandchild" while I've been in transition. He's goign to LOVE the backyard. I've missed my puppy.

Where we'll be living is in a good part of town...no more ghetto children running all over our yard. The backyard is over a square acre and has a bonfire pit, a baseball diamond, hammock, swingset, turtle refuge, and like 5 gardens. The interior is almost entirely hardwood...2 bedrooms are carpeted. All of the bedrooms have built-in lofts, which tickles my fancy endlessly. Scott and Katy are less enthused about it, but, oh well. Morgan-man will have his own room, which will make he and I very happy, as we've been sharing a room for the past 3 months (God has it been that long? Almost...). There's also a woodshop which is chock-full of toys. Yay for scroll saws and routers. Sanders and hammers. I look forward to playing. The basement is going to be Scott 'n my art studios, as well as where we'll play cards when we do our semi-weekly get-togethers. The attic kind of scares me, so, I have no plans for it. The front porch has a big swing. We'll be 2 blocks from a park, so hopefully I can take their son to play with my dog in the park before it gets too cold.

The house is closer to work. And closer to Rue. Farther from where he works, however, which means I'll get to see him less. That kind of upsets me. But the tradeoff is that I'll be closer to him on my days off.

What's cute is that we're both standing flat-footed in the above picture. Actually, I'm stooping a little bit because this was taken 4 days into our relationship and I wasn't quite comfortable with being so proportionate next to a boyfriend. How cute---I found someone my height (finally).
