Okay, I want to write an HP Fan Fic...already started one but its a fun story I probs won't put online...doesn't fully follow JKR's characterization which is fantastic so I'm not ruining it by adding to the collection of terrible fanfic on the internet.
So people, if you write a FanFiction, at least write it WELL. By not writing an incredible fanfiction (Example: After the End by Arabella and Zsenya at Sugarquill.net), you embarrass yourself, disgust others, and ruin the story.
Harry Potter should not have perfect hair and be the perfect guy around girls in his fourth year. In the fourth book, Harry's still really really really really uncomfrotable around girls. So in FanFics from the fourth year, he shouldn't be swaggering up to Cho and planting a kiss on her cheek and saying, in a very Nashville Elvis sorta way, "Hey, Babe, wanna go to the Yule Ball with me?"
No no no no no no no!
*slaps hand of author* Bad writer!
It should go more like, "Um Cho, yeah like I was thinking that...your hair looks nice today! Is that your book? Oh yeah...well, iwaswonderingifyouwouldgowithmetotheyuleballandallsincethecontestantshavetobringapartneranddancewiththemandidreallylikeitifyoucamewithme."
Geez. If I read one more bad fanfic, I'm editting and expanding this rant.
STICK TO THE CANON FOLKS!
