(no subject)
Okay, so a little surprise tonight. We called the Sheraton to see if we could get a room with two beds instead of just one King bed, and they had a room with two double beds available. Smoking, but we could care less. And instead of paying $583 for two nights and one bed, we are now paying $169 a night, which, split among us 4, is $95 each as opposed to $145 each.
How awesome is that?
So yeah, that makes life a hell of a lot easier. Caitlin called me up this afternoon and told me that she couldn't go because she couldn't afford a round trip bus ticket. But we told her to buy a one way (which is half price) and we'll buy her a departure ticket for the ride home. So it's all good. I don't think I'd be able to go without her. :C
My merch is almost all laminated. The cutting shouldn't take too long. So all I really need to do is finish setting up my display binder, buy and decorate a table cloth, pack on Wednesday, and I'm pretty sure I'm all set...
But I am worried. I'm scared that my merch won't sell and I won't make any money this weekend.
It's kind of foolish, I know, but there's that slim chance that people will buy the same kind of merch somewhere else in the room and not think to buy mine. D:
I'm just scared that I won't break even to pay my parents back...
I've never done this before, but I've been to enough cons to know what people buy, and little things like bookmarks really do sell well. But I don't know if they'll buy mine. And I'm probably freaking out for nothing which doesn't help at all. ':/
