Damn the migraines, full speed ahead!

So this month is not turning out so well on the headache front. I've had two headaches requiring narcotics this week alone. Stupid headaches. Grrr.

Anway, whining aside, looks like 97% of my legos have been received now. One order got screwed up recently due to a miscount (short 2 pieces) and a wrong color.

Most of you have probably seen the various Star Wars legos. TIE fighters, and X-Wing fighters, and whatnot. well, they came out with a new color called "dark blue gray". Now, I'm not normally opposed to new colors. But this new Dark Blue Gray is exactly one shade bluer than the Dark Gray, which looks browner when the two are side by side. These two colors are so similar that if you aren't looking at them in direct sunlight, you'll never notice.

I had a box of miscellaneous pieces that I thought were all dark gray. So I was cleaning my room on Sunday, and I was like "Huh, that looks slightly blue and that looks browner. What the...". Turns out that the entirety of the B-wing fighter's dark gray pieces are actually dark blue gray. Which means that not only can I not use those pieces in the new mecha (the colors don't match), but that about 20% of the pieces I thought were dark gray are actually dark gray blue. Haha, it's silly but frustrating.

Ah well. My plans are coming to fruitiion, though. The 1/100 scale ZMGF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam snap fit model I ordered from Hobby Link Japan should be arriving soon. I should be able to use that as a model for conversion into legos. I'm looking forward to redesigning it. Should be both fun an challenging.

End of Line.
