This is a one day thing. Or half a day, even.
The Christmas bug just bit me and I got a sucky resulting mood. Instead of feeling festive and oh-so-happy, I'm feeling...miserable. Well, not really miserable. Just homesick. It hit me hard earlier today. So now I'm moody. Gloomy would be a better word.
Allow me to wallow a bit. Just for today.
Work has kept me distracted and busy lately, so has Christmas shopping, that I have sufficiently kept the homesickness at bay. But now that I have the next couple days off... Hahaha. This sucks.
I miss the smell of macaroons baking. I miss my mom's morcon. I miss scouring the malls shopping for gifts for people I really want to give gifts to and not just buying gifts because I feel I have to. I miss the barkada get togethers during Christmas break and the time to catch up with each other. I miss simbang gabi and bibingka. I miss the constant chatter and noise of home. I miss bonding with my parents while cooking in the kitchen.
Damn it.
