When people say that Pinoys are everywhere, it kind of seems like an exaggeration. Something that hyperboles are made of. But amusingly, I find it to be a reality. Today was another day spent in Pinoy houses (that even boasted of hothouses with potted banana, kalamansi and malunggay trees @_@) with Pinoys living here. We even went to a Pinoy grocery store (a big one, at that!) that looked a lot like Shopwise that showcased racks of familiar food and dvds/cds alike. Except for the crazy cold, it's like I've not left the Philippines. Not entirely. Heck, I even saw fresh durian being sold here! XD I took pics see here:
Check out these Pinoy dvds! (Naks, hindi pirated! XD)
See the prices? Ang mahal pag kinonvert to peso! @_@

What can I say, everyone loves Chocnut. XD
Freakiest item I've ever encountered so far in a grocery store (not for faint of heart animal lovers):

It's getting colder than ever out here. The padded jacket I brought with me from Manila is practically useless now in -16degC weather with wind chills of -20degC. It's so cold that when I left my water bottle inside the car for a couple of hours, the water was completely frozen when we got back. @_@ Actually, the cold weather by itself isn't so bad. It's the wind that urges you to run from one nice, warm and cozy place to the next. Totally understandable in freezer weather. :P
I saw a couple of Hummers today. Apparently, the nicer cars are driven downtown. Too bad all of them are dirty though. I guess when it snows every so often, it's just not worth washing. :P I think I'll browse through TopGear and check out new models so I can actually identify them without having to look at the signage. :))
And still no sign of them cows. No moose, either. Sorry, Nolet. :))
