Just three things, please

Well...

Firstly, can I just say that I love Lauryn Hill? Because anyone who writes a song that says, "I get out of all your boxes" deserve some credit.

Secondly, I wish more people liked music such as the stuff running through my head right now (As Cities Burn, that is). Because, for me at least, it is so moving and so... enjoyable. Which I guess all music should be. Yet when I think about it, if too many more people liked music like that, I'd wish they didn't so that I could keep it to myself. Maybe I just wish that people wouldn't put me in a box when they overhear it playing on my stereo. "Yes," I say to the world, "I am a theology major who listens to post-hardcore. Yes -- my resume is being sent to churches across the country as we speak: and I like to play loud music." And you know what it says in response? Nothing. Because I get out of all their boxes.

Thirdly, I would like to echo the admiration expressed by a playwright who said, "Jesus, didn't you know you had an image to protect?" What is image to Jesus? Nothing. It is not real, not genuine, not true. "Whatsoever is true... think on these things." Philippians 4:8. I admire a man that can live His life without being pushed around by other people's expectations. I admire Jesus.
