So, I was preparing this post, y'know, a post-
yuletide post, and I realized something kind of ridiculous, namely that I never did a post-
yuletide post LAST YEAR. *facepalm x a-millionty* I'll do 2007 and 2008 now? Better late than never?
Received!
Last year, I got
A Ticket Out, by NutterZoi (
zoe_chan), a story about Hannibal King from Blade: Trinity, and how he met Abby, and became part of the Nightstalkers. It was bitter, and snarky and awesome, as anything about those two would be!
This year, I got
From River Rainy to River East, by
thecolourclear, a story about Max Carrigan, and what happened to him after the events of Across the Universe. It is sad but with a hopeful ending, and it keeps Max and Jude and Lucy tied into the history of the times, in a way that I didn't even think of, but is perfect.
I also got two treats this year, both Gunnerkrigg Court stories:
Roly-Poly Boxbot, by
Sailor Coruscant (hilarious but sad! *hugs Boxbot*), and
The Robot and Mr. Smith (clearly the perfect team. Clearly! *snerk*), by
v_voltaire.
Thank you all very much!
Written!
So, last year, I wrote
Curriculum Vitae, for
irishmizzy, a Bones story about Angela Montenegro. I was pretty happy with it, and it was really well received. Looking back at it, I think it holds together pretty well. *pets* My favourite section is the projectionist section, I think. And it amuses me that we actually got to meet Roxy this season. ;)
This year, I wrote
Song for the Queen, for
sheepfairy, based on Rihanna's Disturbia music video. Dudes, I am pretty proud of that story, because it was such an interesting challenge. The world building was a lot of fun, while simultanously creeping me out, heh.
General Well-Wishes!
I hope that everyone had a great holiday, and that 2009 brings good things. *hugs the world*
