May Day
... Hi!
Well, my annual winter semester LJ neglect started earlier and lasted longer than usual. Updates to follow... I think I shall do a post-every-day-week, see how that goes...
Basic notes in the meantime: I am now officially all-but-dissertation (YAY!) but so very screwed for post-doc funding (BOO!). I have been seeeekritly lurking in bandom, which is awesome for busy-time because there isn't really any canon to fall behind on? Heh. Also, various fictional procedurals. Ah, fictional procedurals, how I love thee. Oh, oh, I'm all caught up with Temeraire, and dying for the next book, and have read the first couple Dresden Files novels - fun!
Plans for upcoming posts:
1. Extremely belated post-Yuletide post.
2. Some journaling about RL issues.
3. Vid Recs
4. Bandom fic recs for people who aren't in bandom yet. Like, people who like fencing! Come read this AU where Panic at the Disco are on the Olympic fencing team! (AFAIK, this AU doesn't exist... but now I am thinking there should totally be some kind of panfandom Olympic AU challenge.)
5. Fic ideas/WiP amnesty? I have started to deal with the fact that a) I don't have time to write fic, and so what I do write goes very slowly, b) all the ideas I have are ideas that seem to need long fics, c) the combination of a and b is really just not fair.
In conclusion: did you know that 5 is my favourite number? It totally is. Yay, 5! :)
And now I will go see if I remember how commenting on other people's entries works...
