Oh, honey.

This was fabulous. I don't know much about what you were doing with the crossover, but I LOVED this. *girly flail*

Thank you! I'm glad that it worked even without familiarity with American Gods. (which is a book by Neil Gaiman, and OMG, READ IT!). :)

Wow. I loved this. I haven't read American Gods, but I had no problem following the story. And you had Dean and Sam's voices down wonderfully, especially in that last section against the Rusalka.

Zorya Polunochnaya paused, seeming to look for words. “He left because winter was coming.”

“Oh.” It almost made sense. Dean wondered if he were dreaming. Next to him, Sammy coughed a little, and wriggled closer. “I’d never leave.”

Zorya Polunochnaya smiled sadly, and smoothed her hand over Sammy’s back. His breathing evened out again. “No, you would not leave.” She looked at Dean, and her eyes were as old as her sisters’. “You will not remember, I think, but sometimes for people there is a time to leave. Bielebog left because of winter, not because of Czernobog.” She sighed, and stood up, walking to stand next to the window. “You should go back to sleep; it is still very late.” This part was perfect, and made me want to cry at the same time. Great fic.

Thank you! :) I am all gleeful that it works without knowing AG (but read it, read it, OMG!). The Zorya Polunochnaya section, yeah, writing it made me hurt. Oh, Dean!

Crossover with Neil! So cool! *is delighted*

Those who would guard the door are unpleasant reminders - in their hearts, when sheep look at the dogs that guard the flock, they see too much of the wolf for comfort.

Wow, yes. Wonderful!

Oh, bravo! I've been hoping for a crossover like this, but this far exceeded my expectations. The characters you chose to use could not have been more perfect, and the whole thing just... works. Marvelous. Thank you.

It seems very true, is what it is.

Thank you so much! I'm glad it seems true to you, because that's how it seemed to me, but I might have a slight bias. ;)

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. :) There's no more of this, specifically, but I've got a companion piece with the boys in Cairo post-Devil's Trap in the works. SPN + AG = so many possibilities! :)
