Escape from Montreal!
So, I am fleeing for the weekend from the absolute insanity that is this city during:
a. the World Cup
b. la Fete Nationale (aka St. Jean Baptiste Day - the big Quebec holiday)
Now, neither of these would be that bad alone. Even together, I could deal. Unfortunately, it is ALSO c) Grand Prix Weekend.
*shudders* I cannot adequately explain Grand Prix Weekend. It's just too many people. And many of them are trophy wives. Even the sudden increase of really hot cars does not make up for that.
Anyway, I am going to the parents, and I will be back on Monday. When I get back, I am going to try to catch up on flist. Also, I will have fic ready for beta, so I'll throw myself on your mercy ask now: could anyone beta an American Gods/Supernatural crossover? starstillwonder, I know you offered (thank you!), is anyone else interested? *crickets* Heh - I really have to just admit that I've caved to SPN, and start interacting with more people in that fandom/stop lurking. :)
