Thank you notes and Alias spec

Jan 12, 2005 18:40

For a variety of reasons*, I've been scarce lately. I'm sorry! :(

However, my mother always told me that it's never to late for thank you notes. And by "always told me" I mean "was re-emphasizing just last night, especially given that my grandfather has e-mail now, super guilt powers are go!"

Um. Yes. Anyhoo.

In a random order that pretty much ensures that I will miss something...

THANK YOU!

- carleton97 for my yuletide gift, Mele Kalikimaka. MMMMM, Hawaii slash. And it's funny, too! Funny porn makes the baby Jesus happy. What? It DOES!
- cincodemaygirl for the card (oooo, shiny!), and fabulous beta work on my yuletide contribution. Which I need to post about separately, because my anal retentiveness dictates that it have its own post so that I can put it into memories properly. But yes. Cinco made it better. Yay!
- starfishchick for the card, and for keeping me updated on precious, precious pic-spams. Which I will link to. At some point. Oh yes. And everyone's heads will explode from all the pretty linked in one place. Yessss. *Mr. Burns-esque finger tapping* Excellent.
- starstillwonder for the card, which I think I may have already thanked you for. *is not all here* But yes. You = adorable.

Switching gears completely:

Does anyone find it vaguely suspicious that APO's first assignment just happened to be the hitman Irina hired? I mean, that's not how it was framed, but it seemed to me that a) Sloane knew why Jack killed Irina, and he knew that Jack wasn't telling Syd and b) Sloane picked their target. I mean, if I were J.J. - and God willing, some day I will be - I would have stretched that tension and plot over a few more episodes. So did Sloane want to force that information out into the open? If so, why? Or am I just cracked? Because that's entirely possible.

* variety of reasons = plague over the holidays, computer death upon return from the holidays, and OMG WORK in advance of my departure for a conference on the 19th, and a variety of teaching assistantship deadlines.

yuletide
