Dorky coin collecting stuff...

So today the coin shipment came in. When it does I hope that we get the coins that are wrapped in plastic because its easy for me to spot silver quarters and dimes. So today there was $500 in dimes shipped in the plastic rolls. Only when its quiet here, do I physically examine each roll for silver coins and exchange them. While it was slow, I opened the boxes and managed to find 4 silver dimes, and 4 silver mercury dimes (dating from 1919-1932). I was pretty happy. Mercury dimes are all but gone from circulation, especially ones with the dates still on them.

The value of those 4 dimes? Over $50. Not bad. It's funny that since I've been at this bank I've emassed over 200 coins of all values, dates and grades. I even buy them from clients. I got a safe deposit box here friggin loaded with valuable coins.
