I have a constant companion. Honestly, I didn’t like it at first. In fact, I thought it was tacky, disgusting and more than a little bit pretentious. But the more time I spent with it, and the better we got to know each other, the more I found that life was unbearable without it ( Read more... )

My husband was addicted to regular coke (the cola) when we first met. He managed to throw the addiction about 10 years ago. And then he became addicted to Diet Coke. He broke that almost two years ago now. He will have the occasional drink again, but it is not bought for the house at all.

In the first case it was an addiction to the caffeine and suager. (He was drinking 2 quarts or more per day). Int he second case we think it was jsut the caffeine. But I became worried because if you read the fine print on some of his meds it says that the taking them and eating sugar substitutes (such as found in diet drinks) was contra-indicated.

If you can keep it to moderation, then don't deny yourself. But I try to apply that to all things in my lif, especially foodwise. But it can be hard.

Sorry. I have so little time for LJ these days that my f-list had become overwhelming. I decided to take anyone I hadn't personally met off the list.

Don't know where you live but if you are ever in Atlanta, GA you need to go to World of Coke. At the end of the tour you get to sample Cokes from all over the world! cool.....

I'm a Coke Zero person myself, but succumb to Diet Coke when Coke Zero isn't available.
