Well, Maybe an evening picnic under the Party Tree (I have a slightly amusing story about Melba and the Party Tree, you know), and then a quiet and private walk back to a smial where everyone else is asleep except us. Or a moonlight Ducky Boat ride. I wasn't sure which you'd prefer.
*quite content not to go anywhere this moment, actually, as that would entail moving from the spot she had waited all day to inhabit*
A picnic and a walk sounds absolutely lovely--it's a gorgeous night out. But I'd feel better not straying too far from the smial, though. Just in case.
I've no doubt that if we wandered any further from this spot, Bingo would have a small nervous breakdown. I say we stay here and enjoy the company moon.
*pulls away slightly and frowns, hurt and insulted on Bingo's behalf but also upset that Isengar has broken the spell of their cozy moment together with his careless remark*
I think Bingo’s handling his recent mauling quite well, don’t you think? And I don’t know about you but I happen to find it nice to have someone so concerned for my well-being.
Dearheart, I think we're a little confused. Bingo is as worried about us as we are of him, and I do not wish to cause him more stress by disappearing. Eru knows there have been far too many disappearances around here.
*wonders whatever happened to his good friend Tiger*
Bingo is doing quite well and shall continue to do quite well, and I'll do everything I can to see that that happens. He knows this. So do you. It's been a long day and a longer evening, and I suggest we take advantage of this time while we can.
*shakes her head in frustration--it may have been a long evening but she was not confused* It was the words you chose. I know you care for him deeply but... it sounded as if you were making light of his reaction. I love him very much and he has been nothing but kind and dear to me. As I suspect he has been with you. *bites lip* He doesn't deserve our talking about him in such a way.
*watches his eyes go far away for a moment and figures she has a pretty good idea who he's thinking of* Do you suspect Tiger's disappearance is because of me, Isengar? *voice drops to just above a whisper* And do you regret getting involved with me for it?
*listens; nods* Ah. I fear I'm still learning how to talk here on land; at sea, the less serious we seem, the more serious we are.
Tiger comes and Tiger goes. For all I know, he's out on a tournament right now, though if we is I wish he'd left me a note. He and I are friends and I miss his friendship and sense of humor.
How could I regret anything that has anything to do with you?
*thinks about that for a second*
Well, if your father didn't approve and came after me with a frying pan, I might regret that, but I hope such a situation will never occur.
*nods; it’s not that she was unused to that sort of humor, but that she tended to use it somewhat differently*
I’ve watched quite a few friends disappear to never return. *takes his hand and says shyly* I hope that’s not the case with Tiger.
*laughs at his joke about her father’s well-known prowess with the frying pan, which she finds oddly touching in a way; wonders if the not-serious/serious correlation applies here as well*
*sobering somewhat, but not terribly so* I have two regrets that relate to you, Isengar. The first is that I ended up staying away far longer than I ever intended to, and that I didn’t write while I was away. The second is that the day after I assured you that I was over my past relationship I found myself having to confront all manner of buried emotions regarding his family. *considers* No, let me rephrase that. I don’t regret the process itself. I regret that you had to be there for it, too. And for both of those things I’m sorry.
There's nothing to be sorry for. Life, like the sea, is unpredictable and a good sailor knows that eventually, you'll sail into a calm port. As long as you are on your way to a calm port, all is good.
*laughs softly* That it is. *brings his hand to her mouth for a kiss and smiles* I would not have handled today nearly as well without your support. Thank you.
*thinks about her plans to return to Undertowers in the morning* The Westmarch isn't that far. I won't have to leave until afternoon, if then.
*softly* Do you mean with me, with us, or our... collective situation?

I was not planning on sharing my evening with Elves, you know. I had .... other ideas.
*takes her hand and kisses it*

*slipping her arms about his waist* I know. I know *drawing him closer* This evening couldn't have been very easy on you, either.
((OOC: Third time's the charm, right?))

((Ah, I don't mind - tis the only mail I got this afternoon.))

*shyly* So, what did you have in mind instead?
((Ahahah aww. You know what's bad? When your puppet gets spam. o_O))
