If he were still in camp and if it was a REALLY NASTY BREAKUP, Jet would definitely have gone for Darc. Darc is JUST HIS PERFECT TYPE, a cranky, challenging outcast.

He'd definitely try Katara once, but that definitely would end in tears and bloodshed.

HE DOESN'T KNOW YET. Depending on how he finds out, he might find the Alain one funny or he might glare at him, and either way, he might beat up Cuthbert with Sokka. Because in the end, Katara's still a Very Special Person to Jet, so people hurting Katara's feelings better watch it!1

What does Damian think of Cathy's reaction to him being alive? Or what are his thoughts on Cathy overall?

GOD THIS IS LIKE. TOTALLY GETTING INTO HEADCANON ESSAY TERRITORY.

Damian is a tool. Which we know. But I mean literally. His mother loves him but she has been training him since day negative a million to be part of a plan. He knows this. All-in-all, he's okay with it! It's what he wants because he doesn't know enough to want anything else, if that makes sense.

But suddenly Cathy is worried about him, not because she's worried about ruining a plan or losing a valuable asset, but because he's him. And she's hugging him and feeding him and he honestly doesn't know what to think. He believes she has an ulterior motive because no one likes him, they like his value. Despite himself, though, he's starting to get a little comfortable around her and let down his guard a little, like showing his exhaustion in the kitchen. I think he really wants a mother figure but, like with everything ever, doesn't know how to frame it in his head, or talk about it, or how to act about it ( ... )

I MAY EXPAND ON THIS TOMORROW but basically, Cathy is a huge motherhen and Damian strikes all these "needs a big sister" chords in her. He's angry, he can't take care of himself, he gets hurt and doesn't notice, he's only ten, he's way too serious for his age. He reminds her of Trowa in some ways! She gets pinged in all her big sister senses.

AND NOW I NEED SLEEP.
