The thing is -- Zuko is actually really depressed by the idea that after the war is over, everyone's gonna go back to where they came from or travel the world having adventures and... even if they come visit him in the Fire Nation a lot, it's not the same as having them around all the time. He's never been this happy, like, ever. SO IDEALLY the Gaang would come visit and stay in the giant guest rooms or we could just hang out in Uncle's tea shop or take long vacations to go penguin-sledding and and and I DON'T EVEN KNOW JUST DON'T LEAVE ME ;A<;>
He wants to go back and keep Zuko from freaking out over politics and old war ministers who won't listen and angry Earth Kings.
ZUKO WANTS THIS TOO. SO MUCH. :'( Pretty much his ~*~IDEAL~*~ vision of the future would be: Jet stays, o-or at least comes back after he finishes doing whatever he feels he needs to do to make amends in his country. And then... Zuko makes Jet his personal bodyguard or Official Homoerotic Sparring Partner or live-in buttsex coordinator or some job that lets him feel like he's actually useful and not just staying around to bone Zuko. You know, because Jet is important. :( ♥

Uh, what else. Random things. Right, he's totally knocking out some walls in the giant terrifying throne room and getting rid of the wall of fire and PUTTING IN A GODDAMN WINDOW, SERIOUSLY, that place is just super unwelcoming. And get Azula really expensive mental health care. AND GENERALLY he wants to be a better Fire Lord than Daddy was and overall fail less and so he'll take everyone's input on that! And Jet can help! TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT BABY I WANT TO FIX THE EARTH KINGDOM FOR YOU
Um and I guess if Jet approves maybe we can take in a whole bunch of war orphans and teach them to swordfight and do calligraphy and believe in themselves :B THIS IS PERHAPS HIS MOST GUILTY FANTASY
And maybe at some point Jet grows some roguish stubble or something. That would be pretty hot :|a

OKAY NO but that will happen, it totally goes like the post-camp AU: Jet will do Zuko all night in his huge Firelord bed, it will be fan-fucking-tastic and neither of them will be able to stand for a week. But especially not Zuko.

Lee would totally bother Zuko good-naturedly BECAUSE HE LOOKS SO FROWNY, WHY IS HE SO FROWNY until Zuko gives in and decides to speak to him. Because Lee is kind of like Aang in that way where you can't actually resist him when he's being perky at you. :( At the end of the night Zuko wouldn't be sure how it happened but he would have totally learned to knit and have his very own friendship bracelet and also probably a pet squirrel and an IOU for some HOT-BLOODED MANLY SPARRING.
