You know gang activity is petering out when the Captain gives you a job of checking out Urban Legends, apparently.

Or its a sign that R&D is finally getting ahead with something and Captain wants to try it out.

Gang activity is finally petering out? That's good news.

Sorta kinda. Haven't seen anything major. It's still going on, but I think it's somewhat burnt out.

Especially if I'm getting punted onto "Urban Legend" duty. Mmm.

To be fair, with spirits, skull servants in particular, crawling around anymore, they probably have a reason to suspect some truth to it. And since you're a spirit... or used to be one, at least... it's only natural to assume you'd have the most knowledge on the subject.

I think I'm in a weird Grey line. It seems very "Am spirit and aren't. At the same time. While not."

... I guess.

But some of these don't sound like stuff you'd see on Earth though. And I'm fairly sure humans dislike Skull Servants enough that it couldn't be their doing.

But. Mmm...

All the better for them I think.

Maybe there's a middle man? Thugs who rob the servants, or somehow manage to do business? You have to admit, the potential might warrant investigation.

Perhaps. But what would gangs or Yakuza gain out of turning their customers too young or too stupid to pay?

Well, for one, they might insist on cash up front.

For two... maybe they have no idea what they do either.

True...

... Then why sell them... Maybe because they are sellable, but that seems stupid. And stupid people get executed by their bosses.

I'd say 'buy low, sell high' but that rather negates the idea they get them from skull servants.

Then again, they might figure that the products cause so much chaos that the buyers either can't remember enough to try and get a refund... or just have no ability to even try.

Yes. Especially since the Skull Servants basically brainwashed themselves on... "Star Trek Deep Space Nine", I believe?

... Maybe. Thanks for the thoughts. I should be getting interviews in the next few days.

...never seen.

Sure thing. And good luck.

Basically the lower Skull Servants all parroted this race of merchants. I think you see where this goes.
