Tohoshinki and Aya Ueto collaborated on Oronamin C's CM. Moving everyone with their acappella!
Oronamin C, which is endorsed by Aya Ueto, invited Tohoshinki to guest in part 2 of their 2009 TV commercial! The 5 of them have recently ended their 2 days Live concert at the Tokyo Dome on 5th July, and it was a huge success. On the 7th, bringing along the excitement from their Live, they attended the press conference together with Aya Ueto.
As it was the Festival of the Weaver, Aya Ueto was dressed in a yukata which was "feminine and is also the representative colour of Oronamin C". Following that, the Tohoshinki members appeared on stage to the sounds of the CM song "dou~ shite~", all dressed in white. This was followed by requests to "hear the complete version", so Jejung started it off, and everyone sang in acappella. Aya Ueto also exclaimed, "Tohoshinki, who sings acappella live, is really great!" The venue also resounded with loud applause.
This time around, the CM is titled "Acappella Shinki". Aya Ueto, who plays an OL, made a mistake while photocopying during work, and just when her mood fell, the wall with Tohoshinki's poster suddenly collapses, and the 5 members of Tohoshinki appear! Singing "Why did you make a mistake while copying~" to encourage her, the CM is full of humor.
At the press conference, they also showed of their humorous sides, and the members' relationships were very good as well. When asked "To you, what is a partner?", Jejung immediately replied, "The (Tohoshinki) members of course!" then quickly added, "Ah! There's an additional one today, Oronamin C!" Hearing this, Yunho immediately said, "Jejung said it really well!"
After that, in the corner for "Embarrassing things things in daily life", they revealed unknown things about the members. Then entire venue burst out laughing.
This is the first time Tohoshinki participated in a CM for a Japanese brand. However the members were not reserved and were instead, full of energy. They showed of the usual side of them, and it was a very energetic press conference.
Q. This time, the CM is about Aya Ueto making a mistake as an OL. In your daily life, everyone must have had these "embarrassing moments too?
YC: After watching a Korean movie that Junsu recommended, I cut a hairstyle that was similar to the lead's, but it was a failure.
JS: At the beginning, it wasn't bad. But in the end, he gained weight (laugh). So it became really bad (laugh).
YC: That was when we were releasing "Choosey Lover" (March 2007)
Q. Actually, we have a picture from that time. Let's show everyone.
All: .............
Ueto: I think it's very handsome too!
JS: It's after this! It was fine during this time!
YC: That... that should be enough (bitter laugh)
Q. Below is Changmin's embarrassing moment. "Zips all open!"
CM: During Lives, because we're in such a hurry while changing, sometimes we forget and go on stage without zipping.
JJ: It's a sad ballad, but the fans weren't even looking at Changmin's face but at the bottom instead, and secretly smiling.
JS: And pointing (laugh)
YH: I think that's why the fans like Changmin even more.
Q. Lastly is Junsu's "Bone-chilling gags"
JS: It comes out unknowingly (laugh)
JS: At the beginning, it felt like it was just for our own entertainment. But one night we went out to ride our bikes, and met 2 policemen and they said to me, "Ah~ Aren't you Tohoshinki? We listen to you songs often. And that, how do you say... Oshiri pen pen ballpen" (laugh). And they asked me about oyaji gags that Junsu have said before (laugh).
Q. (laugh) Junsu must feel down because everyone says it's "cold". Everyone should sing Junsu an original acappella to make him feel better.
JS: (immediately) It's alright
(The other 4 members whisper amongst themselves)
JJ: Ready?
JS: (in a small voice) Ready
JJ: Let's~ go~
All: Why does Junsu have to tell infuriating jokes~ (the 4 members sing)
JJ: It's different from singing for Aya Ueto. When singing for Junsu, there's not much mood to sing...
JS: This is our team spirit (laugh)
