Seoul Traffic Love Story
If it’s not too late.
The nature disaster had crushed the south part of Seoul. All people were gathering in the city Dome to protect themselves from the bad situation.
Some of them were gathering with their family and praying while the rest were searching their family member who still missing.
Until now, we received there are 56 people was-
Yunho turned off the TV and looked back at his friends.
“Guess we have some works to do” he said.
And the tallest man among Yunho and 3 others answered “Don’t you see we have packing already, hyung?”
“Let’s call boss then…” Yunho stood up and grabbed his cellphone to make a call.
“Yobeoseyo? Aah hyung, ……. Yes, we’ll ready to leave tomorrow, …… right… yes, thanks hyung, bye” he ended it then back to his friends.
“Changmin, prepare the food. Kibum, the aid kit. Yoochun, thecar. Junsu, call our affiliates, check if they want to go or no” Yunho ordered.
“Ok” shouted the four.
Yunho and his friends was a rescuer team. They helped people in the accident or disaster. Yunho’s team had affiliates, but most of them were a college student.

The next morning, Yunho’s team was ready to go. A lot of college student and young men joined the team.
Yunho smiled to everyone, but his smiled widened when he saw someone with brown-honey hair who wear a red jacket and boots over his jeans came closer.
“Jae!” Yunho waved his hand.
“Yun!!” the man waved back and fastened his step toward Yunho.
“So you come this time..?” Yunho asked
“Of course… I wanna help you.. errr… I mean them…” Jaejoong stuttered.
“Okay then, come… get on the bus” Yunho held Jaejoong’s wrist and took him to the bus.
Jaejoong stared at his wrist which had been holding by Yunho, he felt a little hot at the spot.
Yunho and Jaejoong were best friend since forever. They grew up together.
They learned to walk together, fell from the bike from their first bike in the same time, go to school together, scolded by teacher together, fell in love, and they shared too many together in their life.
But one day, at their high school day, Jaejoong realized that something wrong with him. Yeah.. maybe it’s wrong because he fell in love with Yunho, his best friend. Jaejoong kept the feeling just for him, he didn’t want to ruin their friendship.
How about Yunho’s feeling toward Jaejoong?
No one knew, but everyone knew that he very really do care about Jaejoong.
“Sit beside me, Jae. I’m gonna explain the procedure first”
Jaejoong just nodded while listening Yunho’s explaination.
Jaejoong always liked when Yunho do his job, do the explaination, do the first aid to people except a CPR, but still Yunho was so cool in Jaejoong’s eyes.
“… and don’t get hurt!”
Yunho always reminded his team to not get hurt in every rescue. They were the rescue team. They help not helped by.
“Did you hear me, Jae?” Yunho asked Jaejoong as he sat beside Jaejoong.
“Eh?”
“Did you hear me?”
“Hear what?”
“To not get hurt?”
“Oh, yes of course yun… I heard you… always. Why you think I didn’t?” Jaejoong pouted.
“Haha, no it’s just… you’re spacing out”
“No… I heard you, I listen to you… everything you say, captain” Jaejoong smiled sweetly.
It was so obvious to everyone that Jaejoong’s eyes were showing his love to Yunho.
“Okaayyy… Let’s go~~”
And they go to the city dome to help the people.

In the city dome, Yunho’s team dropped their jaws. It was the worst. Even the city dome was almost cracked because of the big earthquake.
They waited for the car to evacuate them.
“Use our car to bring people in the medium condition.” Yunho ordered Yoochun and his team who was responsible in the transport part.
“But why in the medium condition, Yun? So many people in the critical condition here…” Jaejoong frowned.
“Because there’s no way they can’t survive until they reach the hospital, they don’t have a chance to survive, but people in the medium condition have it” explained Yunho as he checked a little girl.
Jaejoong nodded but there’s something weird feeling in his stomach.
“If I’m in the critical condition, would you take me first or just leave me here?” asked Jaejoong while he started to wound an old lady. “You can go to the team there and asked them to take you to hospital” whispered Jaejoong to her, the old lady nodded and said thank you.
Yunho paused a while then he continued to bandage the mother of the little girl.
“I’ve said to you to not get hurt, didn’t I? so you won’t-“
“It’s just an if Yun…” Jaejoong smiled weakly.
“You’ve already known my answer, so don’t try it!” Yunho said… more like threaten Jaejoong.
“Promise me you won’t get hurt!” Yunho continued
Jaejoong chuckled and went to another person.
“Promise me jae?” Yunho whined like a little kid.
“Okay… okay… now let’s help people… tsk, why you such a whiner like that?” Jaejoong mumbled
“Because I don’t know what I will do if it happens, Jae…” Yunho whispered to himself.

Yunho’s team was taking their lunch. More rescuer team had come.
“Yun, here’s my egg…” Jaejoong gave Yunho his egg and he ate the rice and the veggies.
Yunho frowned, “Are you sick, Jae? You always tried to poison me just to get an extra egg… but now… hmm…”
“Hahahaha… Yunnie… I just want to give you something” Jaejoong chuckled.
Yunho knot his eyebrows, “No way… now you call me Yunnie? You said that it was too childish and uncool…”
“Oh come on, Yunnie… Just make me happy while you can” Jaejoong hit Yunho’s shoulder lightly.
Yunho pouted his lips but then he smiled “Okay Joongie”
They ate cheerfully with the others.
When they played with the kids, the earthquake happened again.
It was not too big but big enough to crashed the half of the dome.
The people started to panic. They ran to everywhere they think it’s safer.
“Yunniiieee!!!” Jaejoong called Yunho while he’s holding a baby and a little child.
“Jaee!! God, come on!” Yunho took the little child and give him a piggy ride. They ran to a yard with others.
After the earthquake stopped, they started to cure people and tried to make the people calm.
“Everyone is saved… I mean, our team, but there’s some people stuck in there” Changmin reported to Yunho.
Yunho nodded.
They started to checked people again, some of them got hurt and some of them cried for their family member who was still stuck in the dome.
“WE NEED HELP HERE!” shouted one of the rescuer team.
“Coming!!” Jaejoong answered as he finished helping Yunho to feed a little baby who lost his mother.
“J-Jae!” Yunho shouted to stop Jaejoong but it’s late. Jaejoong had ran to the dome and Yunho felt something bad.
20 minutes Jaejoong still hadn’t comeback from the dome and it made Yunho panic. He walked left and right, forward and backward.
“Help us here!” finally the voice that Yunho missed the most right now was heard from the door.
“Jae~~!” yunho ran toward Jaejoong who was holding another little kid, why Jaejoong always help kids? Yunho thought.
“Yun, help… they are still stuck there…” Jaejoong whinned as he calmed the little kid.
Yunho stared at Jaejoong for a while then he shouted to Junsu and Kibum, “Guys, help them”
Junsu and Kibum nodded and ran toward the dome.
Yunho and Jaejoong tried help at the outside.
“HAVE EVERY BODY OUT?” shouted the leader of the rescuer team.
“Yes, sir. All clear”
“Good. I’m afraid that there will be another earthquake” the leader sighed.
“DON’T COME NEAR THE DOME, WE SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE EARTHQUAKE” shouted the leader again.
15 minutes passed and there’s no another earthquake but still everyone was aware.
Yunho and Jaejoong was sitting a little too far from the crowded. They chatted happily. Most of talk about Junsu when he got scolded by Yoochun then he upset and almost cried.
“Oh my~~ this is not the right time to a love fight” whinned Yunho as he landed his head to Jaejoong’s lap.
Jaejoong just chuckled and brushed Yunho’s head with his fingers.
“Junsu just act like a little kid, hahhaha”
“Talk about kid… you seemed so kid-lover today… err… I know you like kids, but today it so different… why?” asked Yunho as he looked up at Jaejoong’s face.
Jaejoong smiled, still brushing his fingers with Yunho’s hair. “I miss my childhood time…” he said and rubbed his chest but then his eyes widened and started t o panic.
Yunho moved from his lap and sat down. “What’s wrong?”
“No…” Jaejoong stood up and ready to ran but Yunho pulled his wrist.
“Where do you want to go?”
“To the Dome”
“No! Boss said we can’t go near it, you’ve heard him!”
“But I need to find it!”
“Find what?”
“My… my… it’s important, I can’t lose it”
“I’ll help you!”
“No no no! Boss will need you… I’ll be fine…” Jaejoong assured Yunho
Yunho look in to Jaejoong’s eyes deeply. He found it so beautiful and addictive and mysterious. But Yunho felt like he will never see those eyes anymore, so he didn’t break the eye contact.
Jaejoong felt the worry in Yunho’s eyes. Worried. Of course, he was his best friend, Jaejoong thought and he wished he could be someone else for Yunho.
Jaejoong didn’t know where the strength and the braveness suddenly come, all he knew that he pecked Yunho’s lips with his, then smiled.
“I’ll be right back”
With that Jaejoong ran toward the dome.
10 minutes later, feels like 1000 years to Yunho, Jaejoong got out from the dome. He stood at the edge of the entrance.
“Jae!” Yunho shouted
“Yun, I-“
GRRRRTTTTKKKKKRRRTTKKK
The earth shaking again.
No one could move fast, they were shaking like a drunken man. Suddenly…
BRAAAKKK!
“JJJJJAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Yunho shouted from the top of his lung. He shouted as loud as he could. He shouted in horror.
The earthquake stopped.
The rescuer team approached Jaejoong. Who came the first is Yunho. Then he shouted in horror again, made everyone felt his fear and sadness.
“JAAAEEEE!! HELP! HELP!”
“Jaee!!” Junsu also screamed while Changmin and Yoochun gasped. Kibum was preparing the aid kit with the other rescuer.
Jaejoong was stuck beneath a wall. His half lower body crushed beneath the huge beton. His blood was everywhere, his breath was unstable. A few times he was choked by his breath and sometime by his blood.
“Jaeee!!!” Yunho’s eyes were tearing. He held Jaejoong’s right hand.
“hhh… Yu..n… I… I’m s..sorr…ry” Jaejoong stopped to take a breath.
Yunho shook his head and bit his lower lip to hold his tears but fail, “No… no need to apologize, Jae… please hang on”
“I… break.. th..the… promise… yun… ss…s-sorry” now jajeoong started to cry.
“No… no… it’s okay… now promise me you’ll be alright?”
Jaejoong cried louder as he shook his head lightly.
“Jae?”
“I… I’m Ss…sorry… I can’t… I will… break it… again…hhh…” Jaejoong cried louder and louder as he felt a syringe in his arm.
“No Jae…! You will be alright!!! You’ll be alright! ALRIGHT!!” Yunho’s voice increased as he gripped Jaejoong’s hand tighter.
“Yun…” Jaejoong said weakly as he lifted his left hand. “Tt…take… this…”
Yunho reached Jaejoong’s hand and receive the thing.
Yunho gasped. “Jae?”
Jaejoong smiled weakly “It… is… you..r… button… from… J..Jun-“
“Junior high school, yes I remember! That time I gave it to you because-“
“Because… yyyou… want to.. avoid… those girls..” Jaejoong chuckled but soon choked and blood dripped from his mouth.
“Jaee..!!” Yunho widened his eyes as wide as it can then looked at Kibum to asked assurance that Jaejoong is okay.
But Kibum shook his head.
“But… it’s im.. portant… to.. mm.. me.. hhh”
Yunho could do nothing but just stared at those beautiful eyes that looked so tired now.
“I… I… love… you… Yun” whispered Jaejoong but loud enough for Yunho to hear it.
Jaejoong smiled and Yunho realized thathis eyes were more tired than before. “I’m… in the… critical con.. dition… right? I have… no.. chance… Yun…hhh”
Jaejoong’s breath was started to heavy and it looked so hard for Jaejoong to breath.
“Jae, please stay with me! You can make it! Kibum can save you, just stay with me!! JAE STAY WITH ME!!” Yunho shouted when Jaejoong closed his eyes and stopped breathing, Jaejoong’s hand loosened his grip around the button which transformed to a pendant.
“JAEEE STAY WITH ME!!! I HAVEN’T SAID THAT I LOVE YOU!!! JAEEEEEE PLEASEEE OPEN YOUR EYES AGAIN!!! JAEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!”

Everyone gathered around the land with a stone that written a name. Kim Jaejoong.
Everyone cried, but Yunho.
“Hyung, time to go” Changmin hugged Yunho but Yunho released himself.
“Did he hear me?”
Changmin went silent.
“Did Jaejoong hear me? Did he hear me when I said I love him? Did he hear me?” Yunho grabbed Changmin’s collar.
“No he didn’t” Changmin said coldly. Junsu, Yoochun, and Kibum gasped at Changmin’s answer.
Yunho loosened his grip and his eyes started watering.
“He didn’t hear you but he knew”
Yunho and the others looked at Changmin with question.
“Trust me he knew” Chanmin smiled to assure Yunho.
They walked away from the stone.
Yunho held something in his chest. The necklace with his button and… Jaejoong’s button that he wear as a pendant too since the day Jaejoong gave it to him.
But still, does Jaejoong know his feeling?

[Flashback, the disaster day]
Changmin POV
“Hyung, what are you doing?” I shouted when I saw Jaejoong hyung opened Yunho hyung’s bag.
I know that they were really close. And I know exactly that Jaejoong hyung loved Yunho hyung, and vice versa.
“Min… hiks… I…”
“Hyung! Why are you crying?” I panic when I saw Jaejoong hyung cried.
“this one, read this one… the last part..” he said between his sobs.
I took the book that Jaejoong hyung handed me.
Eh? It was Yunho hyung’s diary… haa~ this was his bad habit. Bring diary everywhere? Hahaha.
I read it and my eyes grew wider…
‘I think the right word for Kim Jaejoong is… LOVE’
And below the sentence, there was Jaejoong hyung’s picture and heart shape to round his face.
Jaejoong smiled widely and dropped his happiness tears.
“He loves me… Changmin, he loves me…”
And he kept repeating the same words over and over again ‘he loves me’
“So hyung, why don’t you tell him first about your feeling?”
He thought for a while and he smiled again.
“Of course, but after we finish helping people… hope it isn’t too late” he said as he skipped to help people again.
“What did he mean ‘it isn’t too late’?” I just frowned and tried to ignore it.
[Flashback end]

“Now I know what ‘hope it isn’t too late’ hyung” Changmin whispered to the wind.
“If it isn’t too late…” Changmin said again to the wind as if the wind could hear him and understand him.
