Wow, what a great weekend!! The highlight was definately the Death Valley Riders album launch party at the Portman. Both bands (Hotrod Jesus in support) were amazing but even greater than that was the sheer volume of rockers, weirdos and perhaps mentally unstable people!
Weirdest of all, of course and as always, was The Good Reverend himself. Will was back from the States bearing much good news - The Reverend Hotfoot Jackson are confirmed to be on the soundtrack of an up and coming movie, a biopic about the legendary Arch Hall Jr, rock n roller and b-movie extraordinaire! See www.archhallweekend.com for more details. Mark Lamarr loved the Rev cd which is always good news, and offered us some playtime on the radio show. Also TBC is potential listing for a festival in the States next year.
And then, after announcing the extraordinary good news, Will stuffed some jelly eyeballs under his glasses and proceeded to thrust his hips and shout at a very scared and confused-looking special needs guy. Gotta love that crazy bastard.
We have now put some tunes on our myspace website:
