[ The answer releases a small, tight clenching in his chest, constricting the pathway to his lungs. He already lost Dean--he doesn't want to lose Buffy, too. ]
[ Sam's hand reaches for the door knob, and he takes a breath before the door is opened. He steps back so that she may come in, trying not to let his own emotions about this cloud whatever he says to her. ]
[ Sam's hands slip over either side of her face, and he leans in, mouth covering her own. It's a reassurance to her as much as it is to himself, and he doesn't break the kiss as he pulls her in further, shutting the door with his foot. ]
