So, I was thinking.

I know that this is technically Chicago, and we technically don't need to justify the celebration of Thanksgiving, and I don't know if the Wanderer community here already does something for the whole Thanksgiving thing, but this is my first Thanksgiving in Chicago, and I was pondering the spirit of the holiday in all it's food ( Read more... )

Buffster, have to say, I'm glad you're not the only one doing the cooking. That could have scary results.

Count me in! I am so not a cook either.

OH! I can microwave! What needs microwaving at Thanksgiving? Something frozen or out of a can?

Hey! I'll have you know that I have gotten much better with the cooking. I haven't burned something beyond recognition in a very long time.

[granted she hasn't really COOKED in a very long time, but that's not the point]

I'm pretty sure there's something for Thanksgiving that's microwavable. Or you could always bring the cranberry sauce.

Have you? Okay. Now I have to see this for myself. You're still cooking a giant turkey. Have you ever cooked one of those before?

[This could turn out badly, very badly.]

Cause I think I might have to see that in action.

That comes in a can, right? Cool. Write me down for that.

Got it. Cranberry sauce for Xander.

I think I can handle one turkey. I've seen my mom do it a thousand times, so I'm pretty sure I could figure it out.

Yep. I bring all the helpful dishes to Thanksgiving or the Cranberry dishes which is a very important dish. Vital to the meal.

I don't know, Buff, that's not very reassuring. I feel like you need supervision or we will have an extra toasty turkey or a turkey that's sti gobbing. One of those two extremes.

Not that I don't have all the faith in you.
