Last weekend was quite busy.
It started with a P!nk concert on Friday evening. I had bought two tickets and "forced" one onto my sister, who excepted very "unwillingly". Then I bought another one for her boyfried.
Two days before the concert it turned out that he wouldn't be able to come, because he was in hospital, so we had to find someone else to take the ticket. My flatmate was more than willing.
The concert itself was brilliant. Not one of those big shows with loads of dancers and lights, but a singer, who enjoyed being on stage, singing and having just a great time. She accidentially slapped her background singer with a doll or something, both couldn't go on singing because of laughing, bickered with the guitar player and did an amazing cover of Janis Joplin. *jawdrop*
All in all it was worth every single cent I had to pay for the tickets.
Saturday started quite early for my taste. My sister still stayed in bed and I was really glad she did, because she hadn't slept well in the last few days (see boyfriend in hospital). I on the other hand had to go to the optician as I'm in need of new contacts and glasses. The "recent" ones are about 5 years old... After I had seen my oculist and he'd tried to meassure my visual acuity without any success, I went there hoping this will turn out well.
After an hour of checking and almost blindig me (again!) I was allowed to go out with my test contacts. Such a relief! I had been wearing glasses for almost a week and this wasn't fun for me as I prefer my contacts.
But I still couldn't resist buying new glasses, because as I said, after 5 years... The problem is: this will cost me 630 €!! *gulp*
Then I went to Marienplatz, where I was supposed to meet my parents, sister, aunt + b/f and dad's cousin. Let's just say, this was a very stupid idea. Not the meeting part, but time and place. Imagine very narrow corridor, 10.000 stampeding tourists and one girl trying to wait exactly there.
At Marienplatz is the Twon Hall and in it the oh-so famous Glockenspiel, which bangs happily every hour or whatever time, while herds of tourists stare up, take pictures and do other touristy things.
So, right when I was waiting there for my family, the whole spectacle took place.
Oh, and did I mention they also have a Christkindlmarkt / Christmas Market there?
Finally the others showed up, person by person and half an hour later we went to the Viktualienmarkt. My mother was in her element, buying fresh food. It cought me, too. Yummy Greek Tzatziki and Cheese cream and ... I don't have to mention, I was quite hungry at that time?
My sister didn't have a nice time, so she took a train home, while the rest of us went to the Medieval Christmas Market at Wittelsbacherplatz. Thank god for that one. We all had dinner there and enjoyed some nice moments of peace, because nobody was in a hurry, rushing around and trying to see as much as possible in the blink of an eye. Nope, here was a relaxed atmosphere. Love it.

And after that, we went to the Tollwood, yet another market. This one I like the call the "Eco-Yuppies Paradise". You can get there handmade, ecological soap, bio-chicken curry, environmenal friendly, batik clothing, ...
After one Kinderpunsch I had enough. My back was hurting and I was so tired, I had to go home. So I left my family for more shopping and went straight to my bed, where I layed down for "just one moment". I woke up at 8:30 pm, wide awake and welcoming the "new day".
I spent the rest of the evening and the night watching DVDs.
Around 11:15 pm the phone rang. Usually that would be either
general_yumi or Nic, but no, it was my dad. He sounded giddy and a bit drunk, told me they had just arrived home, after spening the rest of the day in the Hofbräuhaus. My family, tourist par excellence.
Sunday, oh beautiful Sunday. Sleeping as long as I needed. Lovely. Thanks for that. Unfortunatley I didn't really wake up and spent the rest of the day with a foggy mind, watching more DVDs.
In the evening the flatmate and I went to another concert. This time the
Ohrbooten. We've already seen them thrice in 12 months, but hey, they are great and it's always a pleasure to go to one of their concerts. It was everything we hoped for: a funny opening act, a lovely gig with the whole audience dancing and singing with the band. *bounce*
So much for the good parts.
Monday. Overslept again, or should I rather say as usual? I had set a date with Mr. Enthusiasm a while ago and we wanted to call each other on Sunday to figure out where we'd meet. I had left a message on his answering machine, gave him my mobile number and told him to contact me.
Monday came and went and with it no life sign from Mr. Enthusiasm. I sent an SMS without any result.
Went to the printer with Ms. Sunshine to get an offer for printing the invitations. This was our third atempt and the idiots are still not able to help us or give us normal infos. Morons.
Went home after that to wait for Mr. Enthusiasm and then to sulk. Sat watching DVDs the rest of the evening. *grrrr*
Tuesday brought nothing new or exciting. I forgot that I was supposed to buy flowers for one of the girls birthday. What were they thnking? Making me buy flowers! Before 9 am! Are they crazy? I am hardly able to think, how the hell should I do something like that?
So I got bitched at in the early hours and as I felt already bad from the day before, this was going ot be a fine day. I lashed out quite a bit, so they left me alone for the rest of the day. I buried myself in database work and looked forward to practising with Chris to let some steam off.
Unfortunately Chris called to cancel the practising. *growl*
Then I decided to go and visit my sisters boyfriend in hospital. He's here in Munich and I'm one of the few people he knows here. Went there only to find the room locked, while he was off to get an CAT scan done. *bangs head*
Went home for another session of DVDs.
My mood is not improving. This morning the girls asked for the bloody flowers again. Sorry, I thought someone else was buying them. But nobody did. Then they started complaining about their jobs again. 9 am and I felt like killing someone.
This evening we have our business Christmas party. Sooo looking forward to this.
Oh, and I received an email telling me that: "yes, we want you to work for us, but we still have to get things settled and that won't be until Februar", when I need the bloody job. So much for that.
Thank god for small favours. Dave just showed up.
