Finally myself again

For a week now I have been fighting the flu. It refused to come out and so we didn't have an open war.
At work Dave greeted me every morning with "You look like a million dollars." I wonder who I could sue to pay me those... The others looked quite shocked, obviously thinking what a rude guy he is. I'm so glad he's there.

I miss males at work and the girls are starting to get on my nerves. Two months is quite good, don't you think? Now all I want around me are guys. Preferably engineers. That would be great. Wrote my ex-boss a mail and he answered with "Hey babe, no, I'm still not saying I miss you..." Boy, do I miss them.
But on the other hand I'm on track to get a better payed job. I'm learning and I'm making new contacts.

But back to my half existing flu. Stupid thing tortured me all week, making me feel like shit, but not bad enough to actually stay in bed. So I got up every morning, a bit of coughing, a slightly sore throat, a bit of a sneeze.
Couldn't practice with Chris, because my voice wasn't fully operational. Such a shame.

And we had a two day Workshop/Meeting with the IT guys. One from Texas, one from Finland, one from Germany. Went to have dinner on Wednesday and afterwards we went to the pub. I love business dinner. :D
Same procedure on the next day. And both nights I went to bed around 1:30 am. I had thought I might be able to convince the flu to come out, but the stupid fucker refused and so I was not only half ill, but also dead tired. Great plan, Izzy.

Friday at work was very weird. Most of the guys either had the day off, were on holidays or in their home office. It was only three of us and I managed to get a great deal of my migration work done. But for most of the day I was glad nobody wanted to talk to me, because I definitely was in a parallel reality.

Yesterday I was finally able to get all the necessary sleep and spent the rest of the day in a daze. I don't remember much, just sitting around and watching the time pass. Which was a very good thing, because this morning I actually awoke at 7:50 am, wide awake and ready for the world.

work, health
