when costuming takes forever.

I've spent most of the day so far simply attaching this silk chiffon to the body of the corset. The corset is already done, but there's a very definite order to how the thing needs to be assembled. The silk part seems to be the most time-consuming. I'm not sure yet how far I'll get with the Swarovski crystals, if they'll get added at all. I don't want to glue them on, so I have prongs to mount them, but glue is starting to look more appealing right now. Not sure how well that would work on billowing silk chiffon, though.



Haven't made the bias edging yet either. GAH! This is the part I hate about sewing. You think you're so close to being done, then reality sneaks in and you realize you're only halfway there.

I did get to watch Totoro while mounting the silk to the corset body, though.
