Character Information

General
Canon Source: Karneval.
Canon Format: Manga.
Character's Name: Nai.
Character's Age: No actual age is given, however appearance makes him look to be thirteen.
Conditional: If your character is 13 years of age or under, please clarify how they will be played. While he looks to be thirteen of age, Nai technically isn’t even human. Nai's true form is that of an animal called "Niji," deeming him an entirely new species as his cellular structure (of a human and a niji) have managed to co-exist. So he will be continued to be played as how he is within the manga, which will be explained further.

What form will your character's NV take? The CIRCUS I.D, which looks to be a bracelet. While normally the bracelet activated can provide great powers to its owner, it’s simply a bracelet for Nai. (He’s not the owner of said bracelet.) It’ll provide a hologram like screen for any of its functions to be useful, things such as video, voice and text aid.

Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: The only really stated ability for Nai would be his acute sense of hearing; his sensitivity to sound allows him to hear far better than an average person. He also seems to understand animals, or at least hear their ‘thoughts.’
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? N/A.
Weapons: None.

History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History: Wikipedia. (Nai doesn't really have much history besides what I have written down, so apologies for that. Though if you wish for me to try and further extend his history, I'll be happy to do so!)
From all Nai can gather, he was living in the forest with Karoku for as long as he remembers. He can’t think of anything before that. Only that one day, Karoku was no longer there. So he left the house in search of him, only to find a trail of 'red water' and a bracelet. Fear and loneliness pushed Nai to go continue his search for him which ends up getting him captured due to the bracelet in his hold. Not too long after is he saved by Gareki, sticking with him even to this point as they tag along now with Circus members Hirato, Yogi and Tsukumo.
Point in Canon: Chapter 24.
Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history: N/A.

Character Personality: Basically, Nai is a child. Very new and trying to adapt to his surroundings and this so-called journey he has decided to take. There are many things he does not understand, so it usually takes a lot to have the boy finally get it, but it tends to lead to more and more bigger questions the further things he does not know come to him. Due to this, he’s usually always listening so he can learn from those around him. Of course, development does happen with Nai if you tell him to do something different. An example is, before Nai would stay quiet even when he didn’t understand things for he usually never knew what to input. Gareki noticed this and lectured him to speak up when there was something he doesn’t get. This is what has brought Nai to ask questions after questions. We’re talking about a boy who didn’t even know what ‘blood’ was, thinking it as ‘red water.’

He can be taken as to be highly naive, however there is a limit to how much. He also has a sort of animal instincts, which helps him realize when a situation (or person) is dangerous. For example, he's not stupid enough to go off with just about anybody. He's in a way observant, he can spot the difference between good and bad intentions. So when it comes to people he does not know, he'll go with someone who appears to be good with no ill plans or dangerous appearance. He also knows basic structure of life, such as survival instincts. Shelter, food and water. If told what to do, Nai can learn a lot more things by being taught or observing as usual. Like learning games such as hide and seek.

However, curiosity has always been a problem with Nai. If there is something he doesn't understand, with no one willing to tell him or teach him, Nai will likely wander off to figure out how to learn by either himself or another person. In this case he can easily get himself lost so it's not a good idea to leave it up to Nai when it involves traveling alone. Thankfully he has someone like Gareki by his side so it rarely even happens now.. unless separated. At the sighs of danger, Nai will run away much like a frighten animal would with the boy being easily scared. However, that does not apply if there are those he values in harm's way. Even if he knows it pointless, useless, or not at all helpful; he will still try all he can to help protect them.

Getting to know Nai, it's quite easy to realize how exactly innocent he is. Not only that, how warm and friendly he is as well. He's friendly to just about anybody so long as he doesn't get a dangerous sense from them. He's open to making new friends too. Of course, the closer you get to him, the more you'll notice how clingy he is. In that sense he was really clingy to Karoku, however as time passes he's come to become unattached from Gareki. Not to mention that he is very open to receiving affection and hugs. You could hug, swing, and squeeze him-- he wouldn't mind.
Conditional: Personality development in previous game: N/A.
Character Plans: Nai will be freaked out/surprised at the sudden snatch from his world, of course reverting to that frighten animal stage but he will be worried for the others (such as Garkei and Yogi) and try to find them. Which will probably get him lost, but hopefully he'll meet someone to watch over him and explain what exactly has happened. ..With Nai's not very well knowledge, it might take a while but he'll be sure to be there for anyone he gets familiar with and try to be as helpful as he can.

Appearance/PB: How he looks. And the animal he’s said to have been. He is 157cm tall (yeah, pretty short) with short white hair that seem to end in a light red color for some strands and red eyes. Most of the time he'll likely have a clueless face.

Writing Samples

First Person Sample [There's the sounds of the NV being fumbled with, till the sudden sight of a boy (more focused on a red eye before he leans back with a confused, frighten expression on his face.]

Hello-? ..Where am I? This place doesn't look familiar.. Where's the ship? This is not home.

[Suddenly, he looks alarmed as he realizes something.]

A-And Gareki! Gareki isn't here either! Gareki wouldn't abandon me! H-Has anyone seen him? He wears a hat sometimes, and he has goggles- [Cupping his hand on the top of his head as if to help visualize it.] He looks to be angry most of the time, like he's grumpy- but he's a really good person! He's helping me look for Karoku!

..I wonder if Karoku is here..

Ah! What about Yogi, Tsukumo! Gareki is gonna be mad with me..

[He takes a worried look off to the side before he almost curls up, looking sicken thanks to the pull.]

I don't feel good.. I don't wanna be alone..

Third Person Sample Here was his home. It was where he belonged. Nai would like to think that, at least.

This place had Gareki, Yogi, Tsukumo, the sheep, Yukkin and everyone else.. Those who had welcomed him and who he enjoyed spending time with. Of course, Karoku still mattered. He would never forget him as at the same time he couldn't forget those he has met on his travel to search for him. It was why he hoped to find Karoku still, safe and sound. He didn't want to leave them though, once they found him. He belonged with those on this ship after all. So maybe, maybe Karoku could join them? Then he would have everyone he cares about with him!

This was truly where he believed to belong.

Nai was curious to what Gareki thought, it had been the reason he told him his own but if Gareki didn't want to say it now then he could later! The boy really was looking forward to what they would do the next day, something fun as the welcoming party hours earlier? Well, he could think about it more later. For now he'll just rest and gather up his strength.

Though, what he woke up to was anything he had expected. It was a very awful awakening, like every weight was on his body and pressing him down to the ground beneath him, holding him there with very little chance of gathering a breath to even breathe. He struggled, working hard to try and overcome it but his body has a very tiny frame that it wouldn't do much good. The boy tilts his head, panting as he does and glance red eyes around his new apparent surroundings. This was..? It was no forest, no ship, rather it looked like a city. What city was the new question popping into his head with several others. Where was here? What spot was he in? Were there other people? What about Gareki? Was Gareki here? What about Yogi? Tsukumo? The sheep? Where was everyone? How did he get here?

There was a time before where he had fallen from the ship into an unknown area, but that was on accident and he had just been sleeping! He was recovering though, enough to sit up. The vision before him swerved as he did, a high piercing screech in his ear that had his head ducking and covering both with his hands. (If it was bad for humans, just imagine how much worse it is for his sensitive hearing.) When it began to quiet down, trembling hands lowered slowly with hesitate eyes glancing around while spotting something written on the walls.

Nai was far too scared to bother trying to figure it out. A light glint beside him was what managed to make him pause, taking that moment to calm down a little. "T-The bracelet!" He thought it had been taken away, how was it here? ..Maybe, they were here too then? He grabbed it, keeping it on his wrist as not to lose it when his fingers might have tinkered it a little to set something up. He blinked at it, technology like this not really frightening him (he's seen a few on the ship.) Maybe it could help direct him towards the others? He gives a small smile, beginning to talk into it, "H-Hello! I'm Nai! Uhm, have you seen the others? Like Gareki! I think I'm lost.."
