Rockin' with Phil and Ben
Today has been loooooonggggg. I had a three hour class this afternoon. The prof. was ok, he tried to make the lecture lively, but damn, sitting in ONE class for THREE hours and FIFTEEN minutes is a bit extreme for my tastes. As far as graduation, I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and I just want to get done, but you know when you're anticipating something and the more you want it the longer it takes. These 12 weeks are going to be like watching paint dry, or a pot of water boil, I think.
On a lighter note, I downloaded some REALLY AWESOME music today. Well, awesome to me, anyway. Phil Collins "...Hits" with all his classics: "Another day in Paradise", "I wish it would rain down", "Sussudio", etc. and I got some Ben Harper, and you know ANYTHING by B.H. is bound to move you, either to weep or to dance. The man just speaks to your soul!!
I have to go out and buy these albums now. Yes, I downloaded them, but I'm trying to make a habit of supporting the artists if they're really good. If I think they touch me in some way with their craft, it only makes sense to compensate. There are some people who can knock two pieces of wood together and pull you into movement, then there are those others who have an entire symphony orchestra behind them and can't even make you tap your fingers. I don't think the latter deserves my money, but the former can have it all.
