my daughter is sneaky!!
Ok, obviously Nea is a bad influence on me, because here I am, midmorning, posting a second entry for the day!
My daughter received her copy of the final Harry Potter in the mail at 1:33 pm on Saturday. Being short funds at the moment, I had asked, and she had agreed, that I borrow hers to read when she had finished it. Well, it took her almost 4 hours to finish the whole thing. (She makes up in speed what I lack in it!!) But would she lend it to me?? Noooooo. She has to re-read volume 6 and then re-read the latest before she will give it to me, she says. So for the last 3 days, I have given her a lot of (good-natured) grief about how she could read the previously unseen book in less than 4 hours, but hadn't been able to read the previously read volume and this again in 3 days.
Well, it turns out she was giving me the book as a birthday present!! So now I have the book (but no time until at least tomorrow to start it). And now I feel bad about all the grief I gave her. *grin* She is SOOOOO sneaky!! It never even dawned on me!
She also gave me a portable (stainless) French press coffee/tea mug, and some great sounding teas. And a freezable mug for iced tea or rootbeer floats (her suggestion).
Now, back to work, feeling foolish but happy.
