::snicker:: I don't know why this amused me, but it did. The Trin and I were discussing Utena's character, and this turned up...
Isa: And actually, you forget that she does have a bit of a mean streak.
Trin: a mean streak?
Trin: that's not something that would have ocurred to me
Trin: where?
Isa: The curry ep.
Isa: That thing with the diary really was MEAN.
Isa: It's well subdued and it barely ever shows up, but she was VERY annoyed with him and it came out.
Trin: *laughs* I don't think of that as a mean streak, honestly
Trin: see, a mean streak would be doing it just BECAUSE
Isa: Okay, mean bits.
Trin: that was doing it becuase if she didn't, her brain was going to come out of her ears and force itself down Saionji's throat and into his lungs
