The Wheels On The Bus Go 'Round And "Round...

Aug 02, 2004 18:52

Well...seems like I haven't been around too much lately. I guess there's just been a level of chaos upwards of what I am used to.
Once again, my life as I know it, is in the hands of complete strangers from my least favorite walks of life.

Lawyers and politicians.

It is exactly one week before my 35th birthday, and it might as well be my 1st!

As of last Friday at 4pm, I have officially supplied all of the purtenant info that I can to one of the most prominent law firms in the country.

Between those barristers and solicitors, and the office of a well-known/liked Senator...my work is done.

To say that I am "cautiously optimistic" is an understatement, as I have seen this story before. The characters are different, but the plot is old hat.

The biggest difference is that I have made a life for myself here now.

As it stands, until I have documents in my hand that say otherwise...I will be returning "home" in just over 2 weeks.

It's hard for me to believe, yet I have no choice but to plan for the worst case scenario. Which has been especially tough for many reasons.

The thought that my fate now rests in the hands of those that I deem the most "out of touch" with the basic principals of life is no mere shock to my system.

"Here we go 'round the Mulberry bush..."

Anyone got a spare $1,000,000.00 so a guy can get a cup of citizenship?

Here's to pulling for the fat cats in a dog's race!

Care to all as always!
