Have any of you been to a demolition derby before? I had not had the pleasure until a few weeks ago. Holy moly! I regret not wearing cut-off jeans and a Tweety Bird t-shirt, but otherwise it was a hilariously good time. I can't speak for anyone else, but it turns out that deep inside of me, there is a seven-year-old Transformers-loving grease monkey, and all I ever had to do to let her out is uh... go watch a bunch of bemulleted guys smash up cars in a mud pit.
I regret that there was no Truckasaurus.
Andrea and I saw Stardust on Friday, and I can report that I was fully and totally entertained. This is remarkable, because with the exception of the Lord of the Rings movies, the burgeoning fantasy film genre has not impressed me one iota. The funny parts were funny! The plot made sense! It wrapped itself up in a timely fashion without seeming rushed or patchy on details! I repeat - remarkable.
Tomorrow I'm going to St. Louis! Panda and I are going to hit
The City Museum so hard we, or it, or both, will EXPLODE WITH JOY on contact.
There are many financial reasons that dictate I not go to St. Louis, but how many opportunities do you have to climb turrets and jump in grown-up ball pits? Sexual deviants aside.
